Tips for moving through this season with grace

1. Try Forest Bathing- Allowing yourself to spend time with nature during each season, where it currently sits with the natural biorhythmns of the Earth. BY spending time in nature through a walk, a bike ride, sledding, sowing seed for the fall and meditating, we are giving ourselves permission to accept the inevitable seasonal changes that are occuring and we are allowing ourselves to experience it along with he natural world. connecting with trees, paying close attention to the changing colors of the leaves and listening quietly in the stillness of the forrest gives us a sense of comfort knowing that everything is interconnected and moving through these changes all at the same time which helps with season affect disorder with experiencing deep loneliness and or depression. This reminds us that we are not alone in experiencing the extreme shifts of the natural world.

3. Eat root vegetables (from climate you live in) and warm soups to keep the body feeling warm & comforted through the colder temperatures.

4. Create seasonal art with nature or in honor of season to stay inspired and intune with the beauty that surrounds us in the natuiral world. This will help keep our mood up and we will also be able to stay aligned with the natural biorhythms while moving through emotions with a creative outlet to focus on.

5. Attend community healing workshops and events to allow space to be held for those in the community seeking support from others such as empathy, compassion and understanding while working through the parts of themselves that are being shed and maturing for when the spring arrives.

examples of these include soundbaths, kirtans, meditate and painting groups,  support groups and tai qi, spiritual gatherings & yoga.
